• Huge participation with more than 4,600 exhibitors from 98 countries

  • Clear commitment of the sector to the world’s leading trade fair for food and beverage products

Embutidos Ortiz will be taking part in Anuga, the world’s leading trade fair for the agri-food sector, from 9 to 13 October 2021. The company from La Rioja can be visited at: HALL 5.2 STAND B040.

Anuga, the largest trade fair in terms of exhibitor volume and exhibition space, will once again begin its conventional format on 9 October at the Koelnmesse exhibition centre. The result is a success: with more than 4,600 exhibiting companies, Anuga 2021 is in an excellent position in the aftermath of the pandemic.

“This will make us the largest trade fair in Europe – if we are not the largest in the world – after the revival of the trade fair sector. All 11 halls will be occupied. The newly built Hall 1, which meets all the requirements of a modern trade fair, will be inaugurated on the occasion of Anuga. This really is an important signal on which we as Koelnmesse and the trade fair industry as a whole can build. This is also a stimulus that confirms the extent to which the industry, after a long period of abstinence, is looking forward to this year’s Anuga, the world’s most important trade fair for food and beverages,” said Gerald Böse, Chairman of the Board of Management of Koelnmesse GmbH, at the Anuga Business Conference.

In total, the net exhibition space occupied is 2/3 of that of 2019. Of this, 12 per cent will be occupied by German exhibitors and 88 per cent by foreign exhibitors. Also, as usual, the level of internationality of Anuga is high with 98 countries currently participating and will continue to set the standard in terms of product diversity and innovation. The ten largest national participations come from Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey, the United States and Belgium.

In terms of visitors, Anuga will once again bring together numerous leading international decision-makers from the world of trade, industry and food and drink.

The world’s leading trade fair for food and beverages will start a new era with a mixed concept in which the customary on-site participation in Cologne will be complemented by Anuga @home digital. In addition to the showrooms, the exhibition spaces of the participating companies, which are the digital equivalents of the exhibition stands, there will be, for example, specialised stages such as the Trend Zone with valuable information and
analysis on the evolution of the sector and, in addition, interesting presentations of start-ups or round tables. Participants at the fair will have the opportunity to establish a wide network of contacts in different areas of expertise and interest through audio, video or chat communication.
