DON1990 adds Embutidos Ortiz (La Rioja) to its structure, which also includes Navarra de Embutidos and Embutidos Coto Real, consolidating a leading meat group with an international focus, which has announced its presence at the main trade fairs in the sector.
Luis Domaica, owner of the DON1990 business group, officially announces its consolidation as one of the leaders in the national and international meat sector following the integration of Embutidos Ortiz (La Rioja). The group is made up of Navarra de Embutidos, Embutidos Coto Real and, from now on, Embutidos Ortiz, thus strengthening its strategic positioning and production capacity.
“Embutidos Ortiz represents, among other quality parameters, vision and stability, a clear opportunity to firmly position ourselves in the international market, knowing that Embutidos Ortiz has been a pioneer in this strategy since 1998, with a clear customer focus,” said Luis Domaica.
The operational synergy of these three companies, with extensive experience and recognition in the market, has led to the creation of a solid, competitive structure focused on excellence. DON1990 was created with the aim of combining tradition and innovation, maintaining the quality standards that characterise each of its brands, while promoting a joint strategy for sustainable growth.
With this integration, the group significantly expands its industrial capacity, distribution network and presence in national and international markets. The complementary nature of its product ranges —which include traditional sausages, cured products and meat specialities— enables it to offer a broader and more competitive range to customers and distributors.
Innovation, safety and sustainability
Furthermore, DON1990 is firmly committed to technological innovation, food safety and sustainability, investing in efficient production processes and the development of new products adapted to current consumer trends. The professionalisation of its structure and the optimisation of resources enable the group to improve its competitiveness and generate operational synergies between its various plants.
“For us, it is time to hand over the reins to a group that understands our concerns and will continue the ongoing improvements that we have promoted in the company together with my brothers. We have great confidence in this new phase and will continue to contribute all our expertise to the global project,” said Miguel Ortiz, manager of Embutidos Ortiz.
The group has also confirmed that all jobs will be maintained and that the future is yet to be written by everyone who makes up DON1990. In 2026, the sector will be able to see the new DON1990 group’s image first-hand at Alimentaria (Barcelona), Tutto Food (Milan) and SIAL (Paris).
With this strategic alliance, DON1990 positions itself as a solid business group with significant aggregate turnover within the sector and a clear commitment to leadership based on quality, tradition and innovation.
