In a pressure cooker brown two garlic cloves and remove.

Add all the ingredients and cover generously with water.

The vegetables can be put in a special bag for vegetables or chickpeas to remove them more easily.

Close the pressure cooker and put it on a high heat until it reaches the pressure (each cooker uses a different system to know this). At this point, lower the heat to medium-low and leave it to cook for about 30 minutes, although this will depend on the type of pot.

They can also be made in a traditional casserole or pot. In that case it would be advisable to put the lentils to soak the night before.

When they are done, remove the vegetables and pass them through a potato masher or blender.

Add them to the stew and leave everything to soak for about ten minutes over a low heat, stirring from time to time.

Once the stew has been made, it can be drained well and the resulting lentils and chorizo can be used to make some croquettes. It can also be a good idea if you have some of the stew left over. Just mash them well, make the croquettes with two spoons and leave them to cool in the fridge. Dip them in breadcrumbs, egg and again breadcrumbs and fry them in plenty of oil.
